Soul of Nature

“Soul of Nature” is a series of mixed-media works where photography is combined with embroidery, threads, and found natural elements. Each piece is created after visiting a specific place — a forest, shoreline, bog, field, or rocky landscape. The artist captures the scene with her camera and later completes the image with materials collected on site — moss, branches, bark, stones. In this way, the photograph preserves not only the view of the landscape but also the trace of direct contact with it.
The series of five works presents nature through fragments gathered in each location — in the forest, by the sea, or even at a landfill. Each piece reflects how a place absorbs everything that appears within it, and how, over time, this too becomes part of its image — part of its soul.
The project examines human attention and responsibility, inviting viewers to perceive nature not as a backdrop but as a complex, dynamic, living whole. It reminds us that every action leaves a mark that eventually becomes part of the ecosystem.
